In this case, the Supreme Court upheld the conviction of the accused on a charge of kidnapping on the basis of the evidence of an expert that the letter by which a ransom for the child was demanded was in the handwriting of the accused. Dua, J. himself compared the handwriting in question with a proven handwriting of the accused and satisfied himself and held that no further corroboration was necessary.
