Opinion of expert under Section 45 of IEA [Section 39(1) of BSA] is supportive & corroborative in nature. Section 45 read with Section 73 of IEA [Section 39(1) read with Section 72 of BSA]. In this case, it was held that the expert opinions are not a binding piece of evidence and have to be corroborated with other pieces of evidence.
